    Considering the light conditions, you got good feather detail. There seems to be a blue/aqua cast here Jon. I would try warming it up a wee bit, see how it looks.

    Hi Jon .. a pleasing shot of the Knot , albeit I would have wished for a lower angle .
    Good head angle , lovely fine details and nice tonal range . The soft silky water helped to make him stand out .
    I do not mind the blues in water ... but they have to go in the plumage !!!

    This is a first winter bird. The face could go lighter as the light is marginally from our right. The steep angle down is a shorebird image killer for me.
