    Default Snowy at Sunset

It's been a slower snowy year, but one decided to show up in the Sax-Zim Bog.

A little tough as part of his face was in the shadows, so worked on the shadowy side to try to
bring up the light a bit with a brush. Thanks for any feedback; in particular was shooting with the TC
on for this one and I think it seems to be fine with sharpness (wasn't sure if I should hold on to my
800mm 6.3 but I go back and forth with the TC a lot and don't see any loss of detail).

    Nikon Z9, 1/1250, f/5.6, ISO 1800, 600mm f/4 TC VR S.

Wow that is dramatic, the crop show the subject to good effect, I like the eyes and the highlight in the right eye really brings the owl to life. It appears sharp but just for safety as it were I would have gone for a faster SS.

Thanks, I may boost it again had plenty of room to do so - going back tomorrow as he should be there another week or two. The hawk owl is just up the road, so you can visit both owls within a few miles.

Quite cool shot , light is sweet .
Colors looking bit weird in parts for me ( in the subject ) .
BG does look blotchy , large crop ?
Halo along the head ?! ( RHS )
not a big fan of that boxy crop , nothing wrong with it though .
