Hi folks ... still in the mountains , well from the posting POV
Same as previous Chough posting location .
Some might say , where is the snow detail ?? Well it is there in the original capture , but I decided to let it go .... in the processing . Just keeping a hint of it under the subject .

Processed with DT 4.6 and PSCC 2024 ; cropped for horizontal for comp ; added a bit of canvas on top and bottom

Hmm, not sure why you didn't show the snow detail if it was there - I don't think it would draw attention from the subject. The Chough shows well, the eye is sharp and I like the raised foot. Composition would I think be a little more appealing if say 5:4 ratio.

Challenging shot hard black on hard white. Bird looks good and yes to a bit of snow texture and a looser crop.

@ Jon ... i am ok with the crop , as I thought the one you favored is too tight for my liking . Regarding the snow ... I just wanted the loss of detail in the snow because I liked it . You might want to see it .... but I don't in this case
