    Hi folks ...
been out again today , with moderate snow fall .
Went to the same location to see what I can get .

    EF 500 IS L II + 1,4 TC
    Tripod

    F 8 ; Iso 51.200 ; 1/1600 sec

Processed with C1 and PSCC 2024 ; added canvas to RHS and Top ; removed some OOF snow spots in the subject

Thanks for looking and commenting to my previous postings

Not quite so impressed this time Andreas, the black plumage looks a little sooty to me, I do see some detail but sooty is about the best word I can think of.

Thanks Jon ... not sure what you mean by " sooty " but I will just let it stay as you said . I do think it does look good , relevant to the shooting situation .... really dark at time of shooting . Image appears quite bright .... way brighter than the at the time of capture . Check the techs .

Fully ok that you might see it differently ....

    Cheers Andreas

I like this Andreas. The comp looks good. The surrounding snow adds, especially on the bill. Love the pose on the bird. I have also been photographing Blackbirds in the snow recently, quite a few. And, when the light wasn't just right, mines also had this 'sooty' appearance. When the sun was full on the plumage, it made so much difference and brought out lots of detail without the 'sootiness', if that's a word.

Thanks Will ... glad you understand the " snootiness " , albeit I do not see an issue with this . Can't look like a sunshine image under the given shooting light
