    One of the female with yellow in the head, the mate of the male I posted a few days ago.
    Showing off the massive beak and thick tongue that somehow manages to extract the tiny seeds buried in the cone.

    Hi Colin ... nice to see the female , you have great opportunities in your area .
    Nice pose of the lady and the feeding is a great plus for me.
    Colors looking quite good albeit a touch subdued for my taste in parts , but might reflect the dull lighting .
    The blacks and the whites are a touch strong for me , the 3/4 tones could go darker .... in my thinking . Just a question of taste .
    Sadly the image has a kind of overdone NR appearance .... everything does look too smooth for me . But your call

    A cool image which I would just process differently .... slightly .
