    Default White-bellied Bustard (Kenya)

This male (and its mate) wandered out of the brush and onto the road margin exactly as the sun dipped below the horizon at Masai Mara. It took a few moments for the bird to move beyond some distracting foliage, but it eventually
strode across this comparatively bare patch. This was my only crack at this species in my ten days in the country, so I'm happy the bird cooperated! Shot out window of vehicle.

Just stunning! Everything came together perfectly.
Gilding the lily at this point, but I'd address the hazy smudge like area starting along the line of the feet to the left, extending up to the bird's rump.
There's an ever so faint halo above the head and below the chin too -- but really negligible.

Regal. Great light and background. I noticed the discontinuity in the dof strip along the grass and wondered about it.

Sweet image, tack sharp where it needs to be. The discontinuity in the DOF of the grass wouldn't have bothered me...but once pointed out, you can't unsee it.

Does look good as posted , Dorian

Nice soft colors , good light and the head turn taking this up a good notch . Personally I would prefer a classy 2x3 crop .
