Another Red Squirrel from the set up. It was getting late in the day and light was fading. Usually I would have went home, as I knew I would need a shutter speed of at least 1/3200 which would require a high ISO taking me out my 'comfort zone'. But, decided against it, and manually set the ISO to 12800, and continued. I am glad I did, as I liked the results. This is the first image I have processed at that ISO. Gimbal Head. ACR and PS.

    Hello Will,

I love Tufty! Super super cute and those little feet in the air are just awesome! Great timing, looks nice and sharp, framing works. Lovely smooth BG with no distractions, good 'perch'

A bit unsure about the colour as I do not know this character that well, never seen it in real life. Would expect it to be more red but on my screen it seems to lean towards magenta, let us see what the others say?
Overall image is well exposed and detail looks great. Superb capture with super techs, congratulations, you must be so happy with this

    Kind regards,

Super Will, keep it pano, but just a bit more to jump into on the RHS, easy to add. ISO12,800 congratulations, nice techs.

Nicely caught Will, I am not too sure about the colour of the squirrel though and I think the tail is pretty close to being blown in the highlights. I am sure it's worthwhile having another look at the raw file.

Hi Will ... a killer dynamic jump off pose you have captured , love it
THe perch is bit unfortunate with the strong contrast by nature , if this is a set up I would try to install a perch with less dark and light tones .
The Squirrel could stand some more tonal depth .
Leaving my critique aside ... a real super image , superbly done Will .

    TFS Andreas
