This is a Kingfisher I captured at the set up, the bird had just dived and returned to the perch. The BG is the far side of the river. Even at 1/5000 there is still some motion blur, which I liked. Gimbal Head. ACR and PS.

Love the action pose and the bird. The unfortunate big green blob of moss on the right hand part of the perch takes away from the dainty subject.

I like this a lot, Will. I actually kinda enjoyed the moss
Having those tiny wings out add so much to this frame. And those flying, but sharp water droplets is icing on the cake.

Hi Will ... love the action captured including the flying water droplets !!!
Super image and well timed capture . But I am not a big fan of the boxy crop and the overall thin color /tonal palette .... personal taste . TFS Andreas

Action and droplets are very nice. I also like the feet poking out. Composition is nice, but I agree with Artie about the big blob on the perch; it kinda overpowers the bird. Box crop also an issue for me. I think you could lose some off the top and bottom to get to a more traditional 3x2.

The background, drops of water, color and sharpness where it needs to be are all excellent! I like the perch very much!
