OK, one from the archives, but with the huge upgrade Adobe has done it was worth just to see what it can do, with old & new images.

    Shot from a zodiac.

Looks great, (I would be surprised if the original wasn't!!)
I would like to see it alongside your original version.... curious to see what the improvements translated to.

Thank Jon, haven’t processed this one before, but the upgrades, especially colour pick is just awesome. Both Lr & PS have really elevated their presence.

    Hi Steve,

Love the close-up portrait and all the fine detail of the fur and the whiskers. Nice light, too!

Assuming you used the Point Color to adjust the blues in the sky and background water - looks good! I'm yet to get to grips with that!

    Thanks for sharing,

    Gerald

Cheers Gerald, if you ever think of going to Svalbard drop me a line first, I've done four trips there and can hopefully some pointers.

I can neither confirm or deny the question.

A very good evening to you dear Steve,

Awesome capture and I am glad you visited the archives once again, always something special waiting to be processed and you must have so many gorgeous frames in those folders!

Great detail as always, great colours, textures, superb framing, super techs too ( I do realise the zodiac can be quite challenging). DoF works so well here. And I like the shadows of those whiskers on the tusk, that bit of ice on the tusk also.
Overall a beautifully processed frame with so much to look at, thank you so much for sharing

Talking about the 'new developments' in the software we are using, was quite excited to discover how easy they are to apply - very grateful that you reminded me to do the updates!

Have a wonderful rest of the evening,

    Warmest regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

Looking real good Steve. Love the DOF. The whiskers are jumping out the screen here. Lovely colours throughout and very nice detail on the Walrus. Great HA and POV.

    Much appreciated ‘The Eggman’

Will, hope all ok with Storm Babet looming, time to breakout the Canoe, at least you can then get close/low to the coastal birds.

Its bad up here Steve. A lot of Eiders have come in to shelter in the harbour, where even there it is choppy. Nice watching it though, from the warmth of the house.

‘Warmth of the house’ and a wee dram too.

Reminds me of Storm watching on Vancouver island, when you see the storm approaching and it’s blowing a hoolie outside, but you are warm & toastie inside.
