    Default Indian Rhino

Hi all .. time to throw something different into the mix .
Image taken back in 2016 in northern India .
Truck loads of sightings in that NP at that time ... many times kind of difficult to photograph the Rhinos as they stay a lot of times in the high elephant grass and many times one has to shoot downwards as the tracks are elevated to avoid flooding of them .

    Canon EOS 1Dx
    EF 200 - 400 IS L at 200 mm
    HH

    F 5,6 ; Iso 800 ; 1/2000 sec

Processed with Capture One and PSCC 2023 ; removed a butt from another Rhino in ULC , recomposed and added canvas to the top as the Rhino was too central for my taste .

Thanks for looking and commenting to my previous postings

    Cheers Andreas

Looks good Andreas, I remember you sharing images of the species around that time, always nice to see something different. Love the prehistoric look of this animal and those skin folds, good detail on the tubercles. Pose is great. Are those wounds, on its side? Or just mud?

POV not too bad, I think in this instance the pose with head up helps a lot, had the animal been grazing it wouldn't have worked so well. Good choice of techs and PP work also nice, works for me as presented.

    Kind regards,

Good finished product, I would not have noticed any photoshopping of the background if you hadn't mentioned it. The hide on the rhino is well rendered, the angle of the shot is perfectly acceptable, good work!

Thank you Gabriela and Jon for your kind comments

@ Gabriela ... many of them are carrying scars from fights between individuals , they are quite an aggressive species .
