Hi folks ... back to winter for a quick visit of my KF images .
Nothing specially exciting ... was hoping to get the KF in heavy snow fall ..... the snow was falling heavy , but at that time the KF was not in present at the shooting site . When the snow fall stopped the lady was present ... bad luck for me.
In the upper part of the frame there is a hint of structure / texture .... that is the edge of the pond on the other side .

    Canon EOS R3
    EF 200 - 400 IS L at 560 mm
    Tripod

    F 5,6 ; Iso 6400 ; 1/1000 sec

Processed with Capture One and PSCC 2023 ; slight crop for better comp .... 2x3 portrait was just too long .

Thanks for looking and commenting to my previous postings

    Cheers Andreas

Sorry Andreas, the background kills it for me, the image does not appeal to me at all.

Hi Andreas, your kingfishers are so much more colorful than the Belted Kingfisher here. The bird looks very watchful, probably looking for it's next meal. Nice and sharp, beautiful colors, interesting perch. Thank you for sharing.

I'm OK with white or high-key backgrounds, and this includes this image. Vertical was the obvious choice to go with. They eye is a bit more reflective than I prefer, so perhaps some cleaning up could work here IMO.
