    Default White Ibis

Wish the wings were the slightest bit higher, but I hung onto this frame because I like the speed which this posture suggests. This bird came into the roost like a rocket! This is one of those frame when I wish my lens didn't weight 8.5 lbs!

Bird is a bit tight in the frame, but I love the plumage detail this view affords. I added a sliver of canvas in front of the bird.

Hi Dorian ... I would not complain if I would have this image in my collection .
Bird does look great on all counts , maybe the wings more up ... well I do not know , matter of taste .
Nicely separated from the BG ....
But if you want to show the speed ... you should have panned with a way slower SS , at least in my view .
Color and tones looking good , well processed

Good clean shot well detailed, I am not getting much impression of speed though I appreciate it must have been moving somewhat. The wing position is fine, up down or in between like this - for me at any rate. The head eye feet are all sharp the wings are well detailed - what more would you see/appreciate of the wings were all the way up??

I like it as is, Dorian. BG is superb, I like the colours. Subject well exposed and well placed within the frame, HA is perfect. Nice and sharp and the eye grabs my attention, well seen and captured, well processed too - lovely work!

    Kind regards,

Ah man, I can only wish for a better wing position, but I can appreciate the gliding-in pose. They sure can be fast! The whites look excellent - I love the feathers on the wing, especially the longer ones near the body (long axillaries?). Nice green BG too.
