I present this more for fun than critique (though it's certainly welcome on a very imperfect frame).
All of my shots are premeditated to some degree (but only rarely 'set-up' in the traditional sense), so this frame is a real anomaly.
I flushed this bird off my windshield when I opened the driver's side door -- it was picking at the rubber wipers -- and it flew into this
woody shrub a few meters away. The light was steep and the perch was ugly, but I reached over to the passenger seat, grabbed my
zoom rig, and cracked off a few frames of this range-restricted species. As I doubt its been posted on the board before, I figured
I'd share it since it likely unknown to most here!
Could I do some cloning to clean up the perch? Sure. Am I going to do it? No, mainly because Removing the shaded/OOF bits
seems heavy-handed to me, especially as this was a 'grab' type shot in the first place.

I agree with your decision on the cloning here Dorian. I actually like the shot anyway. Really nice detail on the subject and a bird I have never seen before. Thanks for posting
Hi Dorian ... regardless of your thoughts and your target to create super clean and perfect shots ( in which i do agree ) , i would be more than pleased with this capture !!!
The shortcomings are minor in my view .
A well captured Parrot !!
Subject is nice and sharp .
For me just the colors and tones needs a bit of tweaking ... see my subjective RP .
