This image was captured a small lodge in Erongo and presented more for comedy than critique. While the owner attracted a variety of birds to the back yard via feeding, he had no clue about the photography
and thus had zero natural perches set-up. I had just a single morning at the site, so - unfortunately - I didn't have time to get stuff set-up properly. I like this result because I think the lovebird looks like a news
anchor with the image of a criminal (a Montiero's Hornbill) projected behind him. I mean, this looks like a green screen or composite, right?
See the second image to understand why I went with headshots!

Ha ha, I like it! No wonder you cropped the bottom off. I suppose you wish for a bit more separation to the frame edge for the head above, but all-in-all it is a fun, quirky image.
Fun image indeed but super sharp in beautiful Namibian light. Detail is fantastic. Slightly more space at the top would have been nice. When I lived in Namibia these little parrots used to perch on the windowsill of my office!
Hi Dorian a fun shot and i do love the Love Bird , kept them as pet in my youth and saw them once up close in Namibia in Waterberg NP. They are gorgeous and make a **** of a noise .
Wish the Hornbill was not cut off , but colors looking very nice as does the details .
