A fun treat photographing this individual last month. It's not often we see shorebirds in breeding plumage as we usually see them in the late summer / fall in their winter plumage (or fresh juvenile coat).

Canon R6 + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC III, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/1250s., f/5.6, ISO 400, natural light, handheld, FF, contrast and saturation to taste.

    Daniel:

Your usual excellent POV, resulting in nice subject isolation. Well exposed, like the raised foot. Nice color harmony between the blues and oranges.

The big bubble is an interesting detail. The little wave on the right adds interest without detracting from the subject.

    Cheers

It's a peach, the colours and pose, the low angle - and the bubble!

Nice look at this little bird. Your usual low POV, I like the raised foot and the bubble, rendering good as always. Thank you for sharing, Dan.

This is great. I love all the different colors; the little bit of OOF green in the foreground is cool. Details look great, and I'm digging the crop/composition. This is one of my favorite shorebirds in breeding plumage.
