Hi folks ... not many images of them in snow on my side , so I do post them sooner or later .
Not 100 % happy with this one , as I wanted to go lower but couldn't ... due to a wall of cut off branches between me and the Squirrel , plus the head turn could be better . With the lower shooting angle I could have avoided the dark patches ....
But when not looking too picky I can greatly live with the image

A beautifully rendered little squirrel, I thought in general the squirrels in your region were darker but this looks rather similar to many in UK..
The head angle isn't bad but as you indicate not ideal. I like it.
After viewing your previous squirrel images - which I loved, by the way - I am not so excited about this one, and for the reasons you mentioned in your intro.
Yes you have great detail and colours look spot on, but the POV isn't working for me and HA isn't the best. Just do not feel I am connecting with the subject the way I did in your previous posts.
I do like those perky tufts and upright tail, the subject looks alert and 'cautious'. I also like the textures in the snow (FG) and smooth BG. You already mentioned the 'dark patches' so I won't go there
So like you I am not 100% happy with this but I do appreciate the quality of your PP work and IQ of the frame, technically very good as expected. Thank you so much for sharing Boetie, appreciated.
