    I captured this image at Circle B Bar Reserve in Polk County, Florida. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for vieiwng.

    Nikon 500mm F/5.6 VR AF-S ED PF + Nikon 1.4 III Teleconverter, camera and lens supported by a Oben carbon fiber monopod with a Wimberly MonoGimbal head
    1/4000 F/8 Matrix Metering EV +2/3 ISO 1800 Auto 1 WB, image captured at 700mm (1050mm 35mm Equivalent)
    Post processed in Lightroom Classic, Photoshop CC 2022 and Topaz Denoise AI
    Cropped slightly for composition and presentation

    Look at those details! Loving the scales on the feet. Fluffed feathers are fun, eye contact is right where it needs to be, and the fish adds the perfect touch of behavioral context. The shooting angle is a bit steep and the bushy stuff at right is a bit distracting, but they aren't deal breakers, even in combination. Nicely done.

    Love the ruffled feathers Joe, but if you are using Auto with DNAI you need to dial things back as there are halos around the subject. Are you adding any pre sharpening before applying DN? If you are, then it's getting compoundied especially with a 'baked tiff'.

    Hi Steve, over processing, sharpening after using Topaz Denoise. I should have paid attention because when I have the highlights clipping indicator turned on when sharpening in Lightroom I can see clipping along the edges indicating a halo. Here is a version using Neat Image for noise reduction and sharpening in Lightroom. Thank you for viewing and commenting.
