Kurt, this is a gorgeous landing shot. Very nicely sharp, great angle of flight (slightly toward the camera), love the golden slippers and super nice effect in the wing plumage as well as the crown.
Hard to nit much from my end, maybe just a tad more all around if you had it, but this is a sweet one. Well done!

A bit tight all around IMO, but I love the landing pose and great view of those feet. Sweet light on those whites. Although really small, that black dot at the bottom edge (near the middle) keeps drawing my eye - simple fix with the spot removal tool.

What a pose....yes to more room around the bird, but what a great capture....1/5000 nailed it...nice feather detail and that facial expression is priceless....Well done Kurt...

Nice pose and light. More room below would be nice for the bird to land into.

nice landing, love the light. wish the near wing was stretched back a bit, sometimes it doesn't happen if the egret is just hopping from point to point
agree a bit on the tight side

Super shot the tones have been well handled, just a tad tight in the frame for me.

Ditto everything above. The yellow on the back if the kegs indicates a young bird.
