1/400 f9 iso800 auto +1 ev probably should have gone up a bit in speed.
Approx 20% crop. A touch of unsharp mask and Topaz for sharpening.

    Colin:

Perhaps a bridge too far. I am not seeing a lot of detail in the feathers, esp. the face/crown looks a bit smeared. Very long focal length, slow shutter speed, big crop, all conspire against you here.

I like the pose and exposure.

    Cheers

Nice frame but the IQ is not good at all. Very strong magenta cast (is your monitor calibrated?) and pretty much soft with no fine details.

Does not work for me but TFS

I am surprised an R5 file looks like this,, this is better than the other one, but still major issues for an expensive setup..

Hi Colin .... nice clean shot .

Technically seen it has some major flaws ,IMHO .

Starting from the techs you used during capture and ending with a not ideal processed file . Sorry to sound harsh ... just my opinion .

Keep trying , but first get the in camera techs right .

Neat looking bird. Going to have to agree with the others here.
