Bonds are Deep...

Even though wood stork's form bonds with different partner every nesting season, the bonds are deep. When the mate comes flying in, even from 30 meters out the partners always starts recognition all the way to the landing. Wanted to show this behavior in close even though the colonies zero lot line housing makes it difficult. Tenets of "Birds as Art" applied as best as possible in this busy natural setting.

It's an interesting shot, I like the interaction.
I would suggest the image is carrying too much yellow.

I like the interaction. I do wish the other chick's head was visible and not cut off, but you can't have everything. :)
I don't think it has too much yellow...to me it just appears the feathers are a bit discolored from nature and it's also warm light.

I like the interaction between the 2 storks in the foreground but find the other storks distracting.
I agree with Jonathan about the image is too yellow.
The whites are blown on every bird and that really hurts the image.
I don't mean to sound harsh but this would not be a keeper for me.

Hi David...Got to agree with the critique so far...Yes, the 2 main subjects without the other birds would look better...The heads look good, but yes, the whites look blown on the white feathers.
