Ann:
I like the look back pose, nicely scaled perch doesn't over power the bird, touch of snow, soft background. Very soft lighting shows the details nicely
The display of the double prop tail feathers is a neat anatomy lesson.
Well done.
Cheers

Hi Ann ,
sweet frame .
Works well as presented , super clean and the falling snow adds context .
I personally might neutralize the darks a tiny bit and reduce the " denoising " ....
Nice one , TFS Andreas

Thanks for your comment Andreas, i am perplexed as to your suggestion of reducing the denoise, would you please explains why and where? I don't understand and also, neutralize the blacks?

Hi Ann ... just use any " Denoise filter " i.e. Topaz or others to reduce noise to a certain level not removing it completely !!!! Well this is my personal view ...
Regarding how to neutralize the blacks ( meaning make them neutral from the color POV ) .... use a curves adjustment layer ( blend mode color) and pick the eyedropper for the black point and click into on of the really dark tones in your image .

Lovely winter shot, Ann. Tough to get a pose that shows his red head and nape to perfection and still has good eye contact. Great perch complete with hole, and just enough snow to set the scene.

nice pose and environment, I think the NR is overdone a bit, not seeing a whole lot of fine details especially in the head area, looks too smooth to my eye
