I like this natural look David different in the tree for sure instead of water. Yellows in the background along with the leaves. Colors look good too bad can't see more of the legs and feet. TFS

I really like the yellows in the BG.
I too, wish for a better view of the feet and a bit more head turn.
The image needs a bit more contrast of a bit of darkening in the blacks.

Lovely 'natural' look about this image...Yes to a wee bit more contrast, but I do love the pose and the perch...I don't mind not seeing the feet....The upper BG looks great.

Lovely pastel colors in this frame, David. There seems to be a slight pink cast, but that may be representative of the scene at the time.
The foliage in the foreground is a bit distracting, and more head turn would be ideal as others have noted.
Yes to more contrast. I might also try x 4x5 crop to give more room right and left and less above and below.

Hi David ... I like it almost as presented .
Soft light , soft colors and for sure soft tones , bumping the contrast will change the overall atmosphere of the shot . But this is just my view ....
The last thing I would do is adding blacks .
Not knowing the bird , asking are the twigs of the perch that much " blue" in some parts ?? So I get the idea image needs some more warmer WB or the blues should be reduced overall . Again a personal preference .
Watch your WF .... color profile is Adobe RGB , remember image needs to be in sRGB for best presentation .
