    Hi all ....
another seal from Helgoland . As mostly seen and photographed a Grey Seal .
I just love the low POV and the flight over the smooth sand surface . Wish that I had used better techs .... but it was taken back in 2015 , another thinking at that time . Plus the light was not that great as you can see when looking at the ISO value .
Just today I read about a new record on Helgoland Seals .... 612 pups born this season , quite a lot for such small place !!!

    Canon EOS 1Dx
    EF 200 - 400 IS L with TC engaged ( 560 mm )
    HH

    F 8 / Iso 3200 ; 1/ 500 sec

Processed with DPP 4 and PSCC 2021 ; cropped for comp to 70 % of FF ; removed darkish blobs in the BG . I can also see a pano version and for sure maybe some tonal adjustments

Thanks for watching and commenting to my previous thread

    Chers Andreas

Maybe more pups due to less disturbance??
Loving the image, the viewpoint is ideal and as ever those big dewy eyes, focus looks spot on.

John and Jon for your feedback , much appreciated .

    Cheers andreas

Jon .... the numbers went up constantly over the years , since i followed the seals on Helgoland . Every year there was a new " record in birth numbers " ....

The minimal environment works OH so well here Andreas, perfect DoF with lovely sharpness.

Hy Andreeas, I like the way the uniform color of the FG and BG just makes the seal stand out. I also like the posture of the seal, especially the eyes. He /she really looks like a little hovercraft.

Great image Andreas, I especially like the POV and sense of movement here, as well as eye contact. Love the title

    Kind regards,
