    I like this one pleasing complimentary colours and composition, muzzle and eyes well detailed, cute little whiskers too!

    This works to a degree and I like the rich backdrop, compliments the subject. Address the magenta cast and add some more selective sharpening and the capture starts to come through. Personally, as everything in view is sharp, the OOF ear just bugs me, a tad more DoF I think.

    John, check your Exif data - 1/400 ISO 1600 so going for more DoF would not be a problem, even with the 5D3.
