My camera has been collecting dust since April, but I was able to bust it out towards the end of a 15-day birding loop through Northern Nevada, Southern Idaho, Central Oregon, and Northern California.

This frame comes Florence, Oregon where I camped on the beach. The winter plumage isn't the most striking, but I liked the peeping pose and dreamy surrounds. Can't beat getting low!

Bit tight on the left, but that's all the space I have since he came so close!

Canon 600mm f/4 IS II + 1.4x III on EOS 1DX2

Processed in LR CC without trickery. A few minor/local exposure adjustments on the flanks
