Silhouettes
I went to Iona Beach again, this time at sunset and saw 15+ herons all fishing in the same spot. Since the light was behind them, I tried to be a bit more artistic. I think it turned out alright, but you guys can be the judge of that.
Taken with a Nikon D500 + Nikon 200-500mm f/5.6

Nice image. I like it. Placement of birds looks good and since they are close to each other it works.

The setting is nice. The pose on both birds is nice as well. The image might look a little better with a 4x5 crop.

This is a nice frame, but I think you could have generated a really sweet image had you been able to get you lens right onto the water and shoot from the lowest possible angle.
The problem here is that the beautiful yellow behind is an afterthought with the birds surrounded entirely by blue water. There's also not enough of a connection between the two
birds to warrant including both. Work on nailing one to start.
I don't want to hijack your thread with another image, but something like this is what I had in mind. I had water over my back to get this frame, but it was totally worth it.
