I'm very glad that you finally got an opportunity to photograph this species. It is always a treat and one of my favorites! I have sneak-peaked at your website so I have seen a few from this session and it looks like the stars alligned with the light, lack of wind and cooperative birds.
This is very nice frame. Great low shooting angle, exposure and details. I like the reflection and if I were very picky I would like the reflection to not have been intereputed by the mud streack but it doesn't bother me. I love the smooth background in this one even though I see the interest in the ones with more habitat too. Nice to have both!
Boy, you are "rocking" this encounter.
Love the light, IQ and POV.
I think you need a little tiny bit of CW rotation.
I did not notice the break in the reflection from the water/?mud initially but I now find my eye drifts towards it.
A beautiful image none the less,
Gail
