Like the light brings out the texture in those feathers nicely. I would sharpen the head a little more. Framing looks nice.

Hi David ... nice one . Good tones and overall color .... the hue of the blues , well a matter of taste !!
Interesting to hear your news about sharpening in DPP ... set to 0 ??!! Might be different with the EOS R ... your trusty source will know !!
Do not know how the EOS R performs in terms of noise ... I for myself apply luminance NR not at all up to ISO 3200 with the EOS 1Dx II in DPP . If the image is correctly exposed ( ETTR) !!!! If I need to use luminance NR I do that in PS with Neat Image .
Just one tip ... do not follow blindly other folks tutorials , guides or suggestions !!!!! Just take them , work with them and find your own route .... there are so many ways to get to the finish .

Andreas thanks again for your help. Yes, you are correct, I used my normal minimum sharpening settings of 100, .5 for smart sharpen in PS and it needs to be tweaked if I decide to change to 0 in DPP. So, I tried DPP set to 0 and added to smart sharpen 100, .6 in my next post. Thanks again for the help.
