Lion pride at Nxai Pan

Hi folks ... here is one image from 2018 , taken in Nxai Pan ( Botswana ) .
It was sooo dry and only that one artificial waterhole was the only water source for miles , so all animals must come there sooner or later . So did this lion pride ....
Image taken one late morning .... the light was harsh and it was very hot .

The two lions in front were the first making their way into a shadowy area , just right behind our car .

I like the overview of the scene with the wildebeest in the back .

Processed with DPP 4 and PSCC 2020 ; slightly cropped for comp ; sadly no more to the LHS ........ did not recognised the cut off lion
