Hi John, this works well with the in-coming pose of the buck with good separation form the BG. Nice low POV and the FG fallen leaves add a nice touch. The OOF branch crossing the face catches my eye but otherwise nice shot.
Hi John , a lovely frosty winter scene and the warm light is stunning .
Compostion works as does the overall colors and tones . The bright branches in the back are a bit distracting , as there are not that many.... i would try to tone them down .
The half way " head down" isn't deal though , but only a small minor thing .
Love the contrasting colors !!

Hello John,
You had some lovely light here, so glad you took advantage of it I like the way the subject enters the scene and its 'cautious' walk, framing works well. Subject is sharp with good detail, nice choice of techs.
The DoF brought about enough separation between subject and BG, good thinking here. Yet I find it difficult to ignore those tree branches as they are rather bright. I do realise it is not always a good idea to move around but in situations like this I wait patiently until the subject moves to an ideal spot. Always be aware of surroundings
Lovely rich colours and tonality on the subject. I do have some reservations about the amount of blue in the frosty grass... but since I live in Africa and haven't seen snow in some twenty-eight years I will wait for the others to comment
Enjoyed viewing, many thanks for sharing,
Kind regards,
