    Default Evening Grosbeak

    Canon 30D 500.0 f/4 1/250 f/8.0 ev -1/3 400iso

Well, I will just start with the image I like most from last year... Evening Grosbeak have made a huge comeback in our area in the last few mount and we enjoy each of them...

    Thanks for your comment!

Welcome to BPN, Francis! It is a wonderful image. I like the look, the pose, exposures looks great. Sharpness is there. My only nit is the BG has some bad, banding going on. Maybe select the BG only and run NR on it a few times?

Quite a wonderful photo of this species. Maybe a bit more room above, but certainly fine as is.

Great image of this beautiful bird. If you have, a bit more space on the top and some S/H to get more details on the chest plumage might make it even better.

Good light. Great branch. Wonderful pose. I would have liked a little more depth of field to get an in-focus branch in the lower left corner, but it isn't much of an issue. Overall, this is an excellent image.
