Hey Geoffrey, beautiful bird, perfect background. The perch is a bit unfortunate that it is not running away from the bird, still a nice image of a bird I do not see often on BPN. Thank you for sharing.

Perch is not the ideal one but it is fine.. what is more worrying me is the jpeg compression artifacts in the blurred background.

Very nice pose against good bg. Good light. Perch noted. How nice it was for this covey to pose for us right across from our B&B, just when we had about given up hope.
What a beautiful bird! Love the crest and the head angle. Issues reg. compression and perch mentioned above. Must've been a great sighting!
Ditto the other comments. Great looking bird. If it were mine I'd clone out the twigs to the right of the bird, leaving a small section visible. The face also seems a little soft to me.
