This was taken twenty minutes after the dowitcher shot I posted yesterday, so the light was comparatively lower and warmer. There's a short time when I can get
a really pretty spotlight effect against darker water, and I was fortunate this guy winged past my position during that narrow window. It would be nice to see
a bit more of that far/right wing, but I though the color, contrast, and eye contact were enough to make up for that short-coming.

You're nailing these flight shots Dorian! Loved the earlier image and this one's just as good if not better! The light is just so sweet and the wing position's very nice (a full downstroke would've been ideal IMO). The details are amazing and the bird just pops against the dark BG.
