Well the cutoff eagle was not a big hit....
Here is the full bird.

The dorsal view is great. The vertical framing works very well. Really like the dark background. Slight head turn towards you would have been great.
Hi Dan, topside looks real good and i also like the black BG. Also wish for a pose with a better HA, but this is a keeper for now! There are some very dark green ?artifacts? below the side tail and also a triangular notch on the wing feather, any idea what that is? TFS
Much better indeed! Sharp, and retains the great mood. I get the impression there is some cloning around the primaries?
Thanks for the comments.. nothing cloned at all.
BG was very dark fir trees which I just darkened completely except
I did not darken enough to completely darken a couple of areas...
Just a bit careless in processing. The Eagle was perfect...

So much better than the last one.
Great topside view. Very sharp.
Just a bit more of a head turn would have been killer.
Black BG looks great.
Gail
Oh, yeah! You were just teasing us with that previous frame. Did you feel the background was distracting enough to want to darken it all? I'd be curious to see it.
nice top side view and stands out nicely against the dark BG, agree a small head turn would have been killer

Terrific dorsal view with good detail, pops against the dark bg. Slightly more head turn would have been icing on the cake.
Exposure and detail are perfect, but the 'blackground' looks really unnatural to me. Our eyes would inevitably see something behind the bird were it no so heavily manipulated. Though a fine/striking effort, this is more digital
art than a representative photograph for me.
Ditto. Arash but still quite a wonderful image. I love the dark mood of this. one. And that the whole bird made it into the frame. Great dorsal view. Was this a vertical original|?
