Photogenic for sure. Wonder what this langur is thinking looks like it is lost in deep thoughts. Pose is spot on as is the detail. Killer background. Very nice.
-
Very nice. Kind of sad. Love the sharp eyes.

Cheers John.
Thanks Matt, I always feel they have the appearance of an old guy, but with a sad face/expression.
Hi Gabriela, techs, well that just come with shooting, I thought f/9, but that little bit extra helped IMHO. But also folk need to think about using the very much underrated - DoF Preview button!!!!

Steve, F11 works perfectly here.
Re. DoF preview button: glad you mentioned it, you'd be surprised to learn that a great number of photographers don't know of its existence.
Have a lovely evening

Crazy when you consider how useful it is.

True:)
I discovered it ( the button) in the Kalahari while sitting in the car at a waterhole waiting for animals to come and drink. Thought it was really cool. I always take the camera manuals with, and especially when I have new gear

Always a good move Gabriela, I took six different PDF manuals with me last year when I was with Peter, it's amazing how many folk don't look at the manual and are then surprised on the features offered.

Hi Steve -- It is a stunner ! I loved the details and the bkg makes it even better. nice choice on techs , f 11 just works fine here . There is everything to like here. I always find them very photogenic with their poses and expressions. Sometimes becomes difficult to get the correct exposure because of its dark face and light coloured fur, but you have nailed it.
Loved it.
I myself was a bit busy these days but surely be coming up with some posts now.
Thanks for reminding of DOF button, very underrated obviously and as a result underused.
TFS !

Hi Haseeb, do you plan to shoot any Langurs soon, as I want you to try something.
-
Yes, langurs will be my best bet as the parks are closed now for monsoon.

OK, I'll drop you a line. Also can I 'piggy back' onto your 'On the Rocks' postings please.

Ooh, this is quite beautiful! A rather pensive pose, which I like. Lot's of fun details to look around at.
