Lovely light, pose and detail. How are you finding battery life with the R?

I've found it no different than any dslr really. I now use the grip and have never come back with less than half the battery charge. In other words, not really an issue in actual use. I have not shot video so can't say for that mode. Thanks again for looking and comments, as always.
    Peace,
    David

Very nice light...since the bird is looking down, I might take some off the top.

Assuming that you did not have the complete reflection I would still like to see another 1/2 inch below. See my comments on dealing with reflections in today's blog post here.

    Light great, sharpness good.
I too, would like to see more of the reflection.
Always such a difficult call with reflections!
I would be tempted to clone out the darker spots in the water.
The water has a purple cast around the ripples and I would address that in PP.

Nice pose and good light. I'm ok with the comp at bottom, but agree a bit off the top would help. I might clean up the water beneath the bird, just a bit. I'm guessing the hint of purple is a function of the early morning light; doesn't bother me.

Nice angle with nice light. Like the calm water. The bird is very sharp.

Yes, pointing the lens down about 1/2 to 1 inch would have taken care of both wishes for a bit more room below, and less above. I love the wet look on the Willet's head, and the drop forming at the bill tip.
