Sanderling
With so many top notch portraits around these days, I find myself looking for some behaviour aspect or unusual poses within the shots I choose to process. I had the classic pose of this bird mid-step a few frames later, but the foraging pose has really caught my eye

Nicely detailed shot I agree good to see the foraging or similar e.g. bill just clearing water with a droplet or maybe prey.
There is a slight blue cast on the bird - you may have left it deliberately but I thought I'd mention it.

Head sharpness and shooting angle are excellent. Whole image seems to have a green/blue cast. Ii'm not sure how to get the colors right since I don't usually shoot before the sun cracks the horizon as is the case here. I wish for a bit more depth of focus on the bird.

Love the pose and shooting angle.. Whites look good to me, I think the color is fine.

Nice feeding pose with good detail. Color looks good to me given the illumination.

Classis sanderling feeding pose. Like the tension with the water of the bill.

Very nice image. Like the feeding pose.
Seems like the subject is in shade.
I would add more space behind the subject.

Thanks everyone for commenting. This was pre-dawn so there is quite a bit of blue in the BG which can fool the eye, but the values on the bird show it as being close to neutral, if anything with a slightly warm WB
