This crop won't be everyone's thing, but I really like how he looks like he's been caught with his beak in the seed jar!
This is a set-up shot. Bird lured with suet and seed.
Canon 400mm f/4 IS DO II on EOS 7D Mark II
1/3200 at f/5.6, ISO 800.
Processed in PR CC without trickery. Bit of a heavy crop.
Innovative portrait! The reds on the bird compliment the warm colors in the BG very well. Nice head angle, deatils and IQ. I too would be tempted to reduce the highlights on the bill
I like this Dorian. Excellent crop and I like the composition. Only thing I do not like is the seed in it's mouth. Image quality held up well but you can just see signs of it breaking down a touch although far from being a deal breaker.
Please buy the invisible seeds next time Dorian, they cost a little more but i think you'll like em!!! Made me smile, crop, crest and colors, well done.
Really fun frame. Nice background and cool composition. Details look good, with Isaac's comment noted on the cropping. Agree about trying to tone down the HLs on the beak. TFS
