Haha I had a few requests for "more space" around the animal......what about this one?

This is very nice, but much more 'conventional' than your previous image - panning of an individual as opposed to an animal with prey. That said, pan of a slowly walking big cat is way cool (we more often see panning with running), and the side light is dramatic.

Hi Lance - Love the light (is it spot lit?) and, yes, the inclusion of the whole leopard is better here but I feel like I want the body to be a bit more blurred. As we keep saying, it's so hard to pull off and have the right balance of motion and sharpness. I like the curled tail here. Next you'll have to post one of the ones going up or down from the tree .

    TFS,
    Rachel

For an animal walking slowly, pulling off a successful pan ain't easy, so full marks for this effort here Lance, the spot? lighting really enhances here.

Good use of techs, but F/2.2?? What gear were you using?

Another great panning leopard. I liked the first one more for the mood and arty-ness (is that a word) that it exuded.
The lighting works well, assume it was last last ray of sunset light or a spotlight like Marc alluded to?

This is really nice, Lance! Great light on the subject's face. Eye, jaw and neck pretty sharp and the blur in those forearm muscles gives such a beautiful sense of movement. Composition works. Yay, I like it

Thought I'd play around and see what happened like if one changed WB and added some vibrance, hope you do not mind?

    Post some more please

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

Looking good and I would love to see it larger. Lovely lit and motion with detail. I think Gabriela's repost takes it up a notch. Nice POV

This is one of the better panning shot i have seen on here. The light is nice and the sense of motion as well. Well done.

Hi Lance -- I liked this one far better than your previous leopard panning image. nice spotlight effect and very nicely panned as well . A very difficult shot to capture.

    Superbly done.

Better Lance. I like the light off the face. I prefer you colours in the original.
