Duck season is beginning nicely at the local pond. The Wild ducks are just starting to
come in close and we are having good light. Taken this AM in Oregon.

Wow. What a pleasing marriage. The background and duck go together in such a pleasing manner. Detail and the water drop are fantastic. Head angle and eye contact also terrific.
The white middle feathers exposure looks good too. Well done.

Hi Dan, excellent low perspective, and with a slight head turn too. Good sharp feather detail, and comp wise, I would maybe take about a third off the bottom. The colours of the water BG complement the duck perfectly. The drooling droplet takes this up a few notches.

Hey Dan, lovely male wigeon and the salmon colored water is a plus. I'd agree with Stu and suggest a crop where you lose some of the bottom so the duck sits lower in the frame... Another posterization in the BG, noticed but certainly dismissed in such a lovely frame. That middle body white feather is a tricky one for being blown, so very nice ... Lastly, a water drop is a bonus, looking forward to more winter ducks.

Your killing it with these ducks. Nice low angle and the water drop is nice. Great background as well.

A bit off the bottom as suggested would be great. Nice low angle, background, and the touch of blue in the water is rather neat.

I like the low angle, complimentary BG, details and water drop off the bill adds to the image. Very well done Dan!

Superb. The water color is sublime. A bit more room behind the bird would not disappoint me.

Beautiful color palette. Love the water colors.

I would add some canvas towards the left.
