From trip in Feb. this year near Little Vumbura camp. I left a bit of the road we were on to give some perspective of how large this beauty is. C&C welcome.
D500, Sigma 150mm-600mm @ 280mm. 1/1250s, f 7.1, hand held, ISO 2500.
Geoffrey, I agree he is a handsome chap and I like the composition. Colours look fine but I would suggest the blacks are a little too dense. I suspect there is more detail to be had in those horns. The image seems to be slightly lacking in the finer details.
Hi Geoffrey indeed a nice specimen of this species .
I quite like the more saturated colors in the greenery .....but agree on the heavy blacks .
Also wondering about the reddish ears , a bit too saturated for my taste .
IQ is not that great , see Jonīs comment about the missing finer detail .
It's never easy getting these majestic males to stand and pose for long so you've down well here Geoffrey,
just wish he wasn't as close to the bushes as they dominate here, I would crop the lower road to just where the tyre tread is, agree with lack of coat detail.
