    This image was created at Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge in Tyre, New York on 4/6/18 at 11:16AM. Image adjustments in Lightroom and Photoshop.

    Nice. I was hoping for another rain shot. Is that rain or snow? The bird is an adult molting into breeding plumage. Is the line above the head ice? That line is the only thing that bugs me as it is too close to the bird's head.

    I do like the basic image design.

    Hello John,

    I like the bird and the silhouette - it gives me the idea that it is cold and rainy /snowy.

    The framing of the image interested me.
    Was your approach to balance the red background with the white foreground?
    If you cropped the top slightly would it focus one's attention more on the bird?

    Pretty cool to see a shorebird in the snow. I like the color scheme and composition. I agree about the line above the head and it may be worth trying to smooth that out a bit. TFS
