Hi Rachel, a beautiful leopard with nice spot light effect with dark BG. Good conversion. Comp wise, I would have liked a bit more room below and less above. A pano crop might work too. TFS.

Thanks Sanjeev, I should have said that I avoided a log across the hill so no more room below.
Thanks again,
Rachel

Nice pose on the leopard and i like the low angle. The composition is nice as well. Nice background too. Im sure the color version looks nice as well.

Hi Rachel -- This is lovely, I liked the conversion , and the perfect scenario of a light subject against a dark bkg. Techs are good considering the 7D2 on hand and details look nice as well. I think you have done quite well and there is a bit of learning for me as well.
Like John , I too would like to see the colour version of the same.
Does it needs straightening ? or it was positioned the same ?
Nicely done, TFS !

Nice tonal difference here, Rachel. I could see it working with even more tonal contrast, make the BG darker?

Thanks John, Haseeb and Morkel for the comments and suggestions. As always, they are very much appreciated. I have not processed a color version of this image (yet). Because I now do my conversions to b&w in ACR, I don't process the color version and then convert anymore.
Thanks again,
Rachel

Hi Rachel, good example of your comments on Haseeb's image - light subject, dark BG and how that works for B&W image. Loved it. For my image, I would try to make tree trunk less visible.
