Hi all, Posting something different here. A rock agama at Serengeti NP, TZ. I think more DOF would have been even better but I was happy to get the head and front foot in focus to highlight the scales and colours.

I quite like the DOF. It would have been good to get the other leg and shoulder in focus, it sure draws the eye to the head and front foot, which look real good. The POV is nice as well. Lovely colours throughout.

Colorful indeed. Like how the focus is bang on the head. Great background as well.

With the right BG and lighting these guys, particulary the males with their bold colours really make for wonderful subjects and this is a fine example, love the low POV here Sanjeev.

I gather you're fairly close here and likely needed f/11, f/13 and to step back as well to have full DOF across the body here.

Hi Sanjeev - Great bright colors and low pov. Agree on a bit more dof but not a deal breaker here. Isn't the close minimum focusing distance of version II of the lens great?

Thanks a lot all. Rachel, yes I love the MFD of the 100-400 II, almost like a macro.

Hi Sanjeev -- Loved the colours and against that clean BKG it is really popping out nicely. F/11 , F/13 would have nailed it i guess . But enjoyed viewing this one . TFS !

Lovely Sanjeev, the dark backdrop sets the colours of the subject off very well. Agree with Marc, you needed more DoF, the chin is just tailing off in sharpness. As an alternative perhaps a sliver off the bottom and double the amount off the top? Nice POV.

Beautiful agama! Do agree with the focus falling off at the tip of the nose but not a deal breaker...still a lovely capture
