Hi John - I think the WB is off which is adding the heavy red cast. Here's a rp where I adjusted the WB. I would probably reduce the reds even further if it were mine. The pose and catchlight work very nicely here.
I do agree withy Rachel, there is a slight WB issue here - so here's my humble attempt to correct it, let me know what you think?
Kind regards,
Thank you Gabriela,
I always enjoy your critique's and comments. Your repost looks the best. I had auto white balance on. I didn't do anything in post with the white balance. Just wanted to see what others thought.
Hi John, quite a nice capture, but the actual 'dynamics' of the pose is a bit flat, perhaps much lower down looking up, or even, straight side on but at eye level, but I just find it a bit lack lustre, sorry. The image also looks very saturated and where all the colours bleed into one another, there isn't any real definition, surprising from the 5D4, it's also masking the sharpness and detail. I just think it stems from getting a better WB in LR John, also when did you last calibrate your monitor and are you using the right settings for Gamma, Kelvin and Lumins? There also appears to be a bit of heat haze so you may wish to address this too? As the subject isn't moving I think you were fine on the techs.
I think out of the two RP's Gabriela is closest with getting some green back into the grass, but you can still get more separation, then take it further according to your recollection. Not sure if this helps, but you can see more separation, detail (no additional sharpening applied).
