John - Looks like I missed you out there by a few days. I love the low pov; the head angle; and that foot held just up out of the water for you. Looks like you had to get wet for this one.

Hi Jon, I like the low POV and the raised leg. I would look to getting more depth and tone back into the FG to create a bit more layering. BKG looks a bit vibrant, perhaps pull it back a little, but you were there? As the body is nice and sharp, perhaps say 7.1 just to help the head as it looks as if it's slightly looking away?
TFS

I love the low angle, the BG, and the raised foot with water still attached to it. Sharp. To me the head angle is turned away just a tad (tilted back a bit), and the image could use a bit of CW rotation. Nice whites and details!

This is very nice. As soon as I opened it, I noticed that it needs somw CW rotation.
I like the head tilt-I assume he was scanning the sky for a predator.
Foot up looks great.
I would boost the blacks in selective coloring by a point or two to give a little bit of punch.
Well done,
Gail

I like the pose, BG and the raised foot with the surface tension. The colors are very 'airy' which I like.Agree to a CW rotation. Good details. TFS

Critiques to date have covered this well - agree a bit of CW rotation (maybe a bit more than Isaac has done). I also like what Isaac has done to add a little more punch to the bird. Raised foot is great and nice setting. Definitely worth revisiting the RAW, I think.
