    Default crested caracara

Taken recently from our Texas trip and from a blind. This caracara was making its way to a perch and flew by the trees to give me a "watercolor" look to the BG... The colors are this vibrant, I did not add any saturation. Levels, decreased shadows, decreased highlights, sharpened, NR...

Lovely colors, sharp, well exposed eye and fantastic in-flight action. Insane how well f/6.3 worked for this.

Hi Ann, it looks even better posted 'Hi-Res'. Great angled flight pose, overall well exposed, and nice and sharp. Love the clarity on the face and eye. I like how the Caracara is separated from the BG. I would desat the blues on the far wing.

Nice banking pose and details. I agree that f6.3 worked surprisingly well here. Also agree with Stu that you should lower the blues in the rear wing. Being super picky you could only wish he was banking a little more and that rear wing was raised higher. Would've taken an already great image over the top.

Amazing shot, Ann, and remarkably sharp in all areas of the bird. Very well done.

I like the open beak and the BG, good details and light but the bank angle is not ideal, it is a bit shallow for my taste

This is super nice Ann. It is always so much harder to grab focus on BIF against a varied BG. Well done!
I like the sharpness and IQ and the trees in the BG add a lot.
PP looks good- almost has a painterly feel on the face area
