    Default northern bobwhite quail

This female quail was always accompanied by her mate who was not too far away off frame. I love the feather pattern and the inquisitive head angle and gait... I toned down the red Texas dirt, DPP, levels, sharpened, NR.

Hi Ann, excellent low perspective, and you certainly nailed the HA. I like the feather pattern too, and lovely colours to the upper BG. Just enough FG to not over-power the image.

Love that red dirt. The low angle is great. Nice detail and pose on the bird as well.

I love the head angle with raised crest, and the great POV. Looks like you had your face in the Texas clay. (Was this from a sunken blind?)

Yes Bill, sorry should have put that disclosure in post, it was a sunken blind by a water hole!

This is great Ann. The low perspective, colors, pose and feather details are all top notch. Processing looks very good as well.

Agree with all that has been said. Like the low pov, beautiful smooth background and composition with plenty of room for the BW to run into. Tack sharp and high IQ with perfect head angle.

The raised crest and foot add a lot of interest. Great low angle, and the colours are pleasantly vibrant.

Beautiful. Sharp, colorful, well-exposed and you really caught the life of the bird. I love the orange to green transition in the BG.
