WOW! Looks pasted on the BG, which I know it definitely isn't.
Wonderful wings-up pose Will. I really love the eye contact and detail.
Did you have to tone down the highlights or are they so grey in the face?
I think the blacks could possibly be a touch darker too?
Thanks for sharing mate! :)

Excellent William! I love this. I've seen a ton of puffin images and this one really stands out as being unique. Image quality is top notch and I love the pose. Smoking frame.

IQ is terrific Will and I too would add a fe more points of black. I like the wings up you capture but would like to see the puffin to the left and more space on the right of the tussock. lovely lil bugger!

Hi Will, love the light and IQ in this, and well timed to have captured the swept back wing pose. The detail rocks in this.
A species I would love to photograph one day in Bonnie Scotland. My parents were Scottish, and I was born in England. We left Scotland to come to Africa when I was probably around 6-7 years old.

Hi Will, great to have the blue backdrop and a small grassy knoll for the perch, good to have the wings outstretched too.
Going to have to get you up to Hermaness if you like Puffins, a good yomp up, but well worth it, with nesting Bonxies on route too.

A wonderful image of a bird I have never had the opportunity to see in person. High IQ, tack sharp and i like the dynamic up wing pose. TFS

A different take on the Puffin wing flap; I love the sideways pose with just a hint of head turn. Great detail. Yes, they are grey in the face, as you have captured him. Well done.

Thanks for the comments, much appreciated. Akos, as Bill rightly said, the faces are grey. Hi Steve, sounds good, I am puffined out, but, the Bonxies
