Very nice Bill. I love how the bird blends with the BG. Nice topside view and HA. I like your placement of the bird in the frame

Perhaps a touch dark, but nice view from above showing us the patterns on the wings. Good job moving the subject in the frame.

Simple question, how do you move a bird in a full frame shot? Do you add canvas to increase space?

I like just about everything, the eye needs a hint of light, as it appears a bit flat, lifeless. Otherwise it is a lovely BIF.

Really like all the gray here. The composition is nice. Also like the pose on the bird.

Thank you all. I was surprised to find how much variation there is in this species. Some are dark grey, others almost white, with every shade in between. Apparently the grey ones predominate around Svalbard, although I shot some whitish ones that I will share. The eyes and eye hollows are dark on all of them.

Akos, moving the bird is a simple exercise. I carefully select the bird and feather the selection, putting that on a layer. I create a duplicate file in which I cut out the bird, and clone in some surrounding water to fill the void. Then I drag the "bird" layer from the first file into the second and position it to taste. I've used several variations on this, sometimes adding canvas when that seems easier.

Beautiful dorsal flight capture, Bill. I like the warmth of the colors in this particular Fulmar, and the BG sea compliments nicely. Well done.
